Hi, I'm Allyn.
Over the years I've learned that wherever I go, there I am. It's been an important lesson and a tough one at times. But that's how I found myself here. I have a problem: It doesn't matter where I am. I can be picking peaches behind my childhood home, watching the sun set over the harbor in my college town, riding a train across India or catching the subway from Brooklyn into Manhattan - but I am probably wondering what everyone is doing wherever they are.
Where? Why? How? Can I join?
This blog is an attempt to unpack my suitcase heart through words and pictures - because while there is always something else exciting happening elsewhere, I am here. And even here there will always be someone new to meet, something exciting to try, somewhere new to explore. I’ll try to stick to the things I love - which is everything. So that makes it difficult, but know that it will probably always relate back to a few key things: Dancing. People. Traveling. Personal Fulfillment. This blog, this life - all works-in-progress.
